The KIDS SERIES PITCH presents the most promising projects from creators and producers of animation and live action series (for all target ages) to meet kids' growing appetite for innovative content.

 

The Kids Series Pitch is open to all creators and producers from around the world (under the banner of a company or not) to present their new and original kids animation and live action projects looking for international creative and financing partners.

BEAR & SALMON

Presented by Nadine Bates, Co-CEO/Chief Creative Officer, Like A Photon Creative, Australia

  • Genre: Animation series
  • Format: 52 x 7
  • Logline: Bear & Salmon is an equally endearing and hilarious 52 x 7’ preschool animation series that answers life’s big questions from the perspective of little people as two best friends discover the magical world around them.
  • Synopsis: In the most unlikely of friendships, our two protagonists, Bear & Salmon, travel upstream together, imagining scenarios and curiously seeking out answers to all manner of weird and wonderful questions about the world around them. Every episode, these two best friends will tackle some of the most fascinating and paradoxical elements of the world. From the highest mountain peak to the deepest ocean floor, there are endless possibilities about the environment around us that the characters and audience will explore!

DEADHEAD

  • Logline: No Adults. No Rules. No Cure. It's time to fix the mess their parents made...
  • Synopsis: This is Year Zero, water is scarce, hyper-accelerated climate change has created a smart virus and turned all the adults into DeadHeads – dehydrated creatures who drink the water from children’s bodies to survive. 'It Boy' Robert Stone has amnesia. He wanders the dystopic streets trying to make sense of the new world. An unlikely gang of 'outsiders' help him find out who he is and try  find a cure before he turns 18 and into a DeadHead.

POP PAPER CITY

  • Logline: A group of unique paper characters get crafty and create adventures together in a captivating paper world.
  • Synopsis: Pop Paper City is a vibrant 3D craft show with adventure. The series follows a unique group of paper friends as they go on adventures and create new paper items to add to their stunning and endlessly peculiar paper world. With the assistance of Helping Hand – a live-action human hand who helps the characters with crafting – the series inspires children at home to make paper creations along with the characters, encouraging ‘doing as well as viewing’.

SULLIVAN SAILS

  • Genre: Animation series
  • Format: 39 x 7
  • Logline: A 6 year-old explorer and his best friend, a talking navy-admiral fox, travel the natural world in search of adventure, knowledge and fun.
  • Synopsis: Sullivan Sails is an animated series for children aged 3-5. It encourages a love of adventure, exploration and imagination in young audiences, while introducing them to incredible facts about geography, the environment, and international cultures. Sullivan is fascinated by maps, and aspires to grow up to be a cartographer and explorer.

TEN

  • Genre: Live action series

  • Logline:10 teenagers, no adults, no school – but an island with magical powers. It could be so nice if only the price wasn’t so damn high.
  • Synopsis: Ten teenagers from an elite international boarding school wake to find themselves on a secret island. No adults, no school – a paradise, it seems, were it not for the uncomfortable feeling of walking into a trap. They have no idea how they got there. They’re not friends and far from being sworn conspirators. Basically, they have only one common thread: they’re all orphans. No one will miss them. Strange things keep happening that defy the laws of physics.
