Animated slapstick comedy is making a tremendous comeback and seeing a popularity surge in the global kids’ market but what are the core components of this genre, and what innovations could help it evolve?

A specialist in the genre, acclaimed French studio Xilam Animation is behind classic series such as Oggy and the Cockroaches, an iconic part of the French animation industry's international exports for the last two decades, airing in over 190 countries.

Marc du Pontavice, founder and CEO of Xilam, will explain how to create a French brand from scratch with an impressive global presence - and keep the brand engaging and relevant across different kids generations. With Andrès Fernandez, show runner of Zig and Sharko and creator of Moka, the pair will share insights into their creative process and experience in crafting successful slapstick animations for international audiences.
