MIPTV launches the first edition of the Pre-School Animation Pitch, the new pitching event for animation projects targeting 3-6 year old kids, supported by Hub City of Asian Culture Gwangju. The Pre-School Animation Pitch presents 6 new and original animation projects in development looking for creative and financing partners:

BOOMONS

Q is a techie, passionate and creative 7 year old kid. Q teams with the Boomons to fight the Spectrons. The Spectrons get their energy spreading chaos. Only the Boomons, with a little help from Q can stop them.

The Spectrons are evil creatures that arrived from the Space. They landed in Megacity, Q’s hometown. Following the Spectrons, the Boomons also arrived to Megacity, in order to stop them and bring them back to where they came from. But it’s not easy because Spectrons are smart, skillful and manipulative. With his tablet, Q can follow the Boomons in a map, communicate with them and receive information about their status. Altogether can find and fight the Spectrons!

A big city like Megacity is full of endless opportunities for the evil plans of the Spectrons. From stopping traffic in a bridge to freeing zoo animals or making all the milk disappear.

The Coop Troop

The Coop Troop are an unlikely bunch of heroes on a high-action mission to help any animal with a problem.

Cooped up together for years in a farm shed, dreaming of adventure, they finally made their escape and are now on the run from the farmer and their mundane life on the farm.

Imagine ‘The A-Team’… only with animals.

The troop’s headquarters is a heavily modified chicken coop, and when the special red telephone rings, SOMEBODY NEEDS HELP – and they’re off on an escalating comedy of ridiculous events. No matter how simple the problem, The Coop Troop will always come up with the most complicated, over-the-top way to solve it and somehow get to the bottom of the REAL problem in the process.

If you’ve a problem, if you need help… then you need THE COOP TROOP - a new fast, funny, farcical and feathery comedy for kids.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT

One summer, a brother and sister, named Neko and Moon receive an unexpected gift: a package sent to them by their flamboyant Uncle Simon. Inside the box, there are five toys: Face, Birdy, Norm, Robbie, and Screeny. They discover in the box a USB flash drive with a note hanging from it, which Moon slowly reads: “For my dear niece and nephew, from your old Uncle Simon.” They plug the USB flash drive into Robbie, who reproduces the voice of Uncle Simon, explaining who he is, although neither Neko nor Moon is aware of having any Uncle Simon, which is obvious from their gestures of disbelief. The recording is interrupted and spirals of light emerge from his antenna and flood the room. We can already detect some movement in the toy's eyes. When they turn around, the toys have come to life and are facing them. The children and toys will journey together through a learning adventure.

The Wee Littles

Whenever people walk through an enchanting forest they see a world full of wonderful things such as trees, birds, and flowers. But there’s a lot they miss like all the amazing wee little creatures that blend into their surroundings like the bark from trees, fallen leaves or even a curled up fern. This is the world of the Wee Littles!

The series is about a very very small family living in a very big forest. There is a young girl named Bitsy, her little brother Itsy, their mother Mini, their father Teensy and their pet earthworm, Jeremy Throckmorton III.

The Wee Littles are shy and avoid being seen by big folk (that’s us!).To help them blend in, they adorn themselves with items from the forest and are very difficult to spot. Bitsy wears an acorn cap and her brother wears an old root ball! Even their cute little homes seem to be just ivy covered rocks and logs.

Life is very different when you’re really small. The Wee Littles’ stories are about how they handle their compact size in their unique and inventive flair. How do you deal with a fly in the house when it’s as big as a hefty dog? Or how do you keep dry when raindrops are the size of your face? It’s one thing when your dog digs holes in the back garden, but it’s another thing to have your pet earthworm dig a hole and disappear in it!

The Wee Littles work together figuring out how to overcome any obstacle with imagination, positive support and humour.

The series is narrator led, fitting in with the theme of the size as the Wee Littles squeak rather than speak. This almost makes them seem even smaller and it allows for more physical humour and highlights that the characters’ perspective is unique.

The Wee Littles aren’t alone in their forest, they have all sorts of friends and neighbours like the Robins, the Beesons and the Shroomies, just to name a few. The heart of the Wee Littles’ stories lies within the family’s relationships. The parents Mini and Teensy, do their best to provide a safe and supportive environment for their children to develop and grow. Bitsy and Itsy learn from their parents and discover new ways of solving life’s wee problems.

Time Out Tess

Most of the time, Tess is a good girl. But sometimes—when she talks back, refuses to eat her supper or just won’t stop fighting with her brother—Tess has to be put in a time out. And that’s when the magic happens.

Once that door shuts, we’re no longer in Tess’ bedroom. We’re in Tesstania, ruled by Queen Tess who must defend her loyal subjects from the evil dragon Momagon. Or under the ocean, where Tess and her fellow mermaids must rescue the hidden treasure from the evil pirate Annoying Bill.

An animated adventure designed to delight and educate pre-schoolers, each “time out” exploit mirrors elements of Tess’ misbehaviour that earned her the time out in the first place, allowing Tess to see things from a different perspective. Returning to her room afterward, Tess is always willing to reach out and apologize for her behavior...until next time, that is.

More Than Just A Fluffy Cat.

Project 'Shasha' is a story about a lovely pink cat who is a shape-shifting heroine from an alternate dimension.
