After receiving a degree from the University of Louvain (Belgium) in law studies, Bibiane Godfroid began her career in journalism as editor-in-chief and news presenter on RTL TVI. In 1987, she became Fiction and Programming Director of the same channel. In 1991, Hervé Bourges asked her to become Programming Director at France 2. Starting from 1996, Bibiane Godfroid pursued her career at Canal + Group, first as Director of Digital Programming and then Broadcasting Director of Canal+. She later became Executive Vice-President of Canal+ / Vivendi / Universal Group’s channels and services. In 2003, she joined the TV production subsidiary of RTL Group, FremantleMedia as CEO of FremantleMedia France. Then she served as Managing Director of M6 from 2007 to 2014. Back to production in 2015, she joined Newen as Executive Vice-President in charge of Content and President of CAPA . In July 2018, she became CEO of Newen.
