About

MD of Sixth Sense Media Ltd., Sallyann set up the London-based independent production company in 2000, to give young people a voice - and to empower, inspire, entertain and inform children globally, young and old.

Delivering high quality content to mainstream broadcasters, Sallyann and her talented team have produced hundreds of hours of high rating programming, becoming known for their fresh and innovative approach, and passion to truly understand what engages our younger generation.

A trained journalist, Sallyann started her career at ITN, and then moved to the BBC. As part of her undergraduate degree at Cambridge, she studied child development, and this desire to understand and support children continues to this day.

Sixth Sense has just completed a third series of ‘Time for School’ for CBeebies and has also won a BAFTA for ‘Our Family’, a CBeebies pre-school observational documentary capturing the magic of family life.

In addition to her work at Sixth Sense, Sallyann has spent time exec’ing at Disney and Discovery, and has been involved in a number of cross-platform projects, including the launch of the multi award-winning educational platform, TrueTube, and more recently her own passion project, www.happynesshub.com, a non-profit organisation empowering others to live more fulfilled lives.

Sallyann is a member of the MIP Markets Diversity Advisory Board and has spoken at the Children’s Global Media Summit in Manchester, GAFX in Bangalore, Kidscreen in Miami and CMC in Sheffield.

About the company:

Sixth Sense Media is an independent television production company established in 2000 by BAFTA and Emmy award-winning children and young people’s media specialist Sallyann Keizer. We pride ourselves in creating ground-breaking content to entertain, inform, enlighten and inspire.

Over the past 19 years, we have been delivering high rating, high quality programming to a range of broadcasters. Sixth Sense was a main supplier for the UK’s Channel 5 for over a decade, making content for audiences from two to eighteen years old. We were first to produce a pre-school observational documentary and created the first reality show for children. More recently we have been working with both CBBC and CBeebies on linear and digital content.

In November 2017, series 4 of CBeebies’ Our Family was awarded a BAFTA. This pre-school documentary captures the magic of family life and regularly takes the number one spot across all children’s shows in the UK.

We have just completed series 3 of Time for School for CBeebies, a pre-school documentary following a reception class as they start school for the first time. We are also in pre-production for an ambitious entertainment global brand for 6-10 year olds, utilising digital and social media to improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of our younger generation.

At Sixth Sense we like to work with the best and our team are the proud bearers of numerous industry accolades including Emmy’s, BAFTA’s, RTS and Prix Jeunesse awards.
