Ariel Emanuel is CEO of Endeavor, a global leader in entertainment, sports and fashion. Operating in more than 30 countries, Endeavor is the parent of a number of subsidiaries with leadership positions in their respective industries, including WME, IMG and UFC. Collectively, Endeavor specializes in talent representation and management; brand strategy, activation and licensing; content development; media sales and distribution; and event management.


After co-founding his own agency in 1995, Emanuel and Executive Chairman Patrick Whitesell orchestrated the largest talent agency merger in history in 2009 when Endeavor joined forces with William Morris to form WME. One of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, WME represents artists and experts across books, digital media, film, food, music, television and theater.


In 2012, Emanuel and Whitesell forged a strategic partnership with Silver Lake, a global leader in private investments in technology. They also led strategic investments in merchant bank Raine and advertising leader Droga5. In 2014, WME and Silver Lake acquired premier sports, fashion, media and events company IMG, and in 2016, the joint entity was named one of Fortune’s 25 Most Important Private Companies. Additional acquisitions throughout the past two years included UFC®, the world’s premier professional mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, Professional Bull Riders, The Miss Universe Organization and Frieze, among others. In 2017, Emanuel and Whitesell announced the formation of a holding company for their global portfolio, Endeavor. Last year, Endeavor launched Endeavor Content, which finances, sells and develops over 100+ film, television and documentaries a year, including “Killing Eve,” “The Night Manager,” and “Book Club.”.  Additionally, IMG’s Original Content group is responsible for leading non-scripted programs such as “Steve,” the Serena Williams’ documentary “Being Serena,” and E!’s “Model Squad.”


In 2018, Endeavor was named one of Inc.’s Fastest Growing Companies in America.


Emanuel began his career at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and went on to become a senior agent at InterTalent and International Creative Management (ICM). A graduate of Macalester College, Emanuel is an associate member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences and sits on the boards of Live Nation and MOCA. Additionally, Emanuel has been named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, one of Fortune’s Businesspersons of the Year, and one of Sport Business Journal’s 50 Most Influential People in Sports.
