Until November last year Cheryl was Controller of CBBC but is now Head of Content for BBC Children’s and commissions content for both CBeebies and CBBC.

Previously Cheryl was Head of Comedy for the BBC and was responsible for Mrs Browns Boys, Cuckoo and Bad Education. As Head of Comedy at Hat Trick Productions she co- created Drop Dead Gorgeous (BBC Three) and at Channel 4 commissioned Spaced, Black Books and The World of Derren Brown.
Cheryl was educated at the Quaker Mount School in York. She lives in West Yorkshire with her family and a characterful dog.
