About

Jamie Isaacs, the creator of Sugar Free Farm, The Choir and World’s Strictest Parents, joined Avalon in 2012 as chief executive of Avalon’s factual arm. He oversees all output in the genre, including content from subsidiaries Liberty Bell Productions, Flame TV and Topical Television.
This includes the hit ITV show Sugar Free Farm, Modern Life is Goodish with Dave Gorman, for UKTV and Channel 4’s, Baby Boomers Guide to Getting Old and The Three Day Nanny. C5’s, The Nightmare Neighbour Nextdoor and The BBC Two series, Scrappers winner of the RTS North award.
Prior to joining Avalon, Jamie created and executive produced numerous hit television franchises for all the major UK Broadcasters as well as internationally whilst Chief Creative Officer at Twenty Twenty Productions and Creative Director at Studio Lambert .
This included the channel defining global format Worlds Strictest Parents for BBC3 (sold in 82 countries and produced for Viacom in the US); BBC2 mega-format The Choir produced both in the UK and the USA (USA Network). ITV's Bad lads Army, C4's breakout hits That’ll Teach ‘Em and Brat Camp (sold to 70 countries and ABC Network in the US).
Isaacs has also created and produced hit returning primetime scripted series for BBC1 (Garrows Law) and award-winning children's television series – Evacuation, The Sorcerors Apprentice and The Joke Machine.
In his career to date he has won the coveted Television BAFTA award twice (The Choir, The Choir Boys Don’t Sing), his shows have won three International Emmys (Brat Camp, Gareth Goes to Glyndebourne and Worlds Strictest Parents), and two Royal Television Society Awards (Lads Army and Garrows Law) as well as numerous other industry accolades.
