Axel Fiacco, founder of BicFormats, has 20 years experience in tv editorial development and multiplatform content, both as content creator for production companies and as commissioning editor for broadcasters. He worked for many years in Mediaset where he was responsible for the creation, adaptation, selection and production of original entertainment formats. Later he worked as senior format creator for EndemolShine Italy. He was also Channel Manager for MTV Italy, responsible for all channel’s contents, overseeing all aspects of production and acquisition as well as developing and implementing an editorial strategy. As lecturer, he teaches “Television Format Analysis” and “Creation and Development of Transmedial Formats” at Università Cattolica of Milan. At USI – Università Svizzera Italiana in Lugano he runs workshops “Projecting and Writing Formats” and “Transmedial and multi-devices formats” (in English). He is often invited to readerships and seminars about the analysis, creation and format writing in many Universities and institutions.
