In the last 22 years, Bertrand LOYER has produced and directed more than 75 blue chip science and wildlife films through Saint Thomas Productions, which he founded in 1995. His passion for documentaries and his constant quest for innovation and new stories to be told has resulted in almost 100 awards from international festivals. Since 2009, all Saint Thomas Productions films have been shot in Ultra High Definition (4K or above) and the company continues to diversify with the production of feature documentaries, Virtual Reality films, 3D and computer graphics-based documentaries.

While continuing to produce and direct science and wildlife films like the critically acclaimed series, LIFE ON FIRE and THE NEW PREHISTORY, Bertrand Loyer maintains his pursuit of narrative and visual innovation by developing new shooting techniques to enhance his films.

Saint Thomas has been awarded more than 40 times for its documentaries at International Festivals (European Nature Festival- Valvert, Belgium, Jules Verne Festival- Paris-France, International Wildlife Film Festival-Montana, USA, Japanese Wildlife Film Festival- Japan…).

International recognition has allowed Saint Thomas to develop partnerships with major French and International TV networks (ARTE, France 5, France 2, France 3 for the national market, National Geographic, Discovery, PBS, BBC, Rai, NDR for the international market).
